MIS Arcade is a web-based arcade gaming platform built for in-person college events to promote the Management Information Systems (MIS) club by letting attendees play browser-based games, compete on leaderboards, and earn tickets for prizes. Players log in with their email or student number, get a limited pool of tokens, and spend them to play games that report scores and ticket rewards back to the platform, while staff can use an unlimited-play mode for testing without affecting the ticket economy. The system tracks tokens, tickets, sessions, and scores in real time, supports guest play when the backend is unavailable, and enforces single active sessions per user for fair play. Under the hood it uses Vue 3, TypeScript, Vite, a PocketBase backend, and TurboWarp-packaged Scratch or HTML/JS games that communicate via a shared localStorage namespace for tokens, scores, and ticket updates, making it easy to plug in new games while keeping a consistent arcade experience.
